The homeowner had cinderblocks around the perimeter of their basement as a DIY form of support for foundation walls. This unorthodox method was unable to provide the support needed, as the wall can be seen shearing and bowing inwards.
Accumulated water on the pool deck presents a risk of slipping, detracts from the visual appeal, and is a significant nuisance.
The foundation floor exhibited progressive cracking, exacerbated by settlement over time. To ensure the structural integrity of the foundation and protect the storefront, implementing a comprehensive and durable solution was imperative.
The wall had previously been treated for crack repair. Shearing, the term for this kind of wall crack, is a definitive indicator of a sinking foundation.
The lally columns depicted in this photo were insufficient to adequately support the floors above the basement, resulting in noticeable sagging. To effectively stabilize and restore the structural integrity of the floors, a more robust and durable solution, such as our SmartJack System, was required.
The perimeter of the foundation was chipped out to allow space for WaterGuard to be installed. Water is captured before being able to enter the basement space and delivered to the sump pump. The system rests on crushed stone to ensure the proper flow of water to the sump basin.
Lacking adequate support, the sunroom began to sink, leading to considerable damage that would escalate if not addressed.
The homeowner observed a concerning fissure in the ceiling of their residence. This fissure extended down the wall, indicating potential foundation settlement issues.
