An enormous amount of cracks were in the basement walls
Once the concrete was leveled, the HomeSpec team sealed all of the cracks and joints using NexusPro. The final step was to seal all of the concrete using SealantPro. This combination of products protects the concrete from the elements.
Water was leaking into the basement from cracks in the foundation walls. The basement was finished so the owners didn't know that cracks existed behind the drywall.
This Canton, MI driveway had begun to crack as time went on. These cracks continued to spread and the concrete sunk in some spots. This allowed plant life to invade and fill the spaces.
If separating or cracking concrete slabs go unattended for long periods of time, as water seeps in between them, they can promote vegetation growth that will continue to force apart and damage the concrete.
To make the rest of the wall match, the crack repair was painted over in white.
The walls were then covered with our CleanSpace vapor barrier. This will block any water vapor or moisture from entering the basement, and will direct it down to the drainage system.
This drainage system deposits into the sump pump, which then pumps the water far away from the home.
